Day 154: Tick, Tick, Tick!!!!!

TICK!!!!!!!! Today I found a tick in the house!!!! I wanna burn my house down all because of 1 little tick!! I hope there are not anymore in the house, and that it just got on my clothing & crawled up on to my computer monitor. Just a fluke kind of thing......is what I am hoping! I thought the wood spiders were going to be the reason to burn my house down, but NO!!! The spiders are not blood sucking parasites, that cause disease. Sure they can bite, and be poisonous, but well wood spiders are not, and they don't have me as paranoid, and on high alert like this tick does. I had to look it up to be sure that this was a tick, because I really haven't had to deal with them much, or ever. The ticks are really bad this year as we were told, and now I believe it!!! I have no clue where or how he got in, but I do not like him in my home. Been doing tick checks on the dogs, and everyone else. Showed the kids what the tick looked like so they can see what they are looking for, and I also told them there are ones that are smaller! The one I found, and with the info I read, I think it was an adult female, Dog tick. So knowing they do not lay eggs on a host, that they burrow, and bury themselves to lay the eggs, made me feel a bit better, but I am still on high alert! Bugs & pests are so bad this year, and my yard will be treated soon, so hopefully that will help. Gonna have to call the Vet, and get some Frontline for the dogs, I keep forgetting, but know I have too! And get them their heart worm meds going again. Spent the day sweeping, and looking for bugs, and washing things that were in my room. I take no chances!!
