Day 324: The Season Of Giving

While shopping today, we picked up our angel tree gift. I picked a girl, just cause I wanted to pick a cute, girly outfit. :) Last year we picked a boy & a girl, and they were for toddlers, this year it's for an older child. Frank & I have always said that when ever we get the chance to give back, we will. We have hit hard times before, and there were many kind, thoughtful people who helped us out, and we could never say thank- you enough to those people. So we had always said that when we get on feet, and get the opportunity to help someone out, we will. I wish we could do much, much more. Who knows maybe we could do something bigger when the kids are bigger, and we will have more money in our bank account. LOL I don't believe that a person should just be giving at this time of the year, I think they should be giving all year long. I try to be, even if it's not much. I like to give to people, it brings my heart joy. To know that I could make someone smile, and know that someone was thinking of them. People just are so.......rude, selfish, & mean nowadays. There a still a small percentage of caring, thoughtful people put there, but some of those people are letting the world ruin their hearts. I know mine has been tarnished many times, but I just like to be nice......sometimes. LOL

Day 323: Chilling For The Weekend

Not much planned for the weekend. A little shopping, a little cleaning, and lots of chilling. Chelsea relaxes watching Youtube videos on "her" phone. She likes The Mommy & Gracie Show, and she has a letter written up for them. I thought that was cute! But The Mommy & Gracie show is kinda annoying. I'm glad that she enjoys it, but I can't watch to many episodes. Kwintyn loves building things with Legos. He usually makes gas stations, or some thing police, or fire related. He has been playing Police man, and Firefighter, and will go around making siren noises. Haha He's also been a gas guy, a poop guy....LOL!!! Yep, a poop guy! The people who pumps septic tanks. He also has been a Taco Bell guy, Pizza guy, a safety patrol guy, he got that from Caillou. Hahaha He just likes being an average joe kind of guy, he thinks it's so cool! LOL He was going around blowing a whistle, and would tell people what they were doing worn, or unsafe. Example: Frank & I were munching on a snack & he comes up and blows his whistle, and says "Chew your old slowly, you don't want to choke." Frank & I both stopped chewing what we had in our mouths, and looked at each other like WTF?! And just laughed & laughed. He's quite the character!!

Day 322: Snow Blowing

Kids had another snow day, so that makes 3 this week!! We got hit with another 10 inches or so last night. Our area got hit bad these past few days, but it's November it's to be expected, but not this much this soon! It's happened before, but it sucks when you just get dumped on with snow. I was nice and snowplowed today. I'll just add that I have never used a snow blower before, so this was my first time snow blowing! My husband likes to pick on me about snow blowers. When we first started dating we went to Walmart, and I said "Why do they have rototillers out? It's Winter?" Well I get laughed at profusely by Frank & his friend that we were with. He said, "There snow blowers!" "LOL" Oh........well don't I feel stupid?! What did I know about machinery?! I was only a 17 year old girl, that really didn't care about machinery at that time. I did know what a snow blower was, but I thought it looked like a rototillers!! Hahhaaha!! One of my very fine blonde moments. LOL I must say I did a pretty good job snow blowing, for my first time and all. It's not as easy as it looks either, especially when your driveway is on an incline. I'm sure I looked silly out there....I kinda had to get on my knees just to push the damn thing up the hill. But once I got the hang of it, it was pretty easy. Hahaha Frank was pretty impressed & he said there is nothing sexier than you're woman snow blows. LOL I will say that you become a snowman while snow blowing, if you have one of those nifty plastic covers for your snow blower than you won't have that problem. My hair was like in snow dreads, and hairsicles. I started melting instantly when I came inside, my head was dripping water everywhere. I was wearing a hat, but I got hot!! LOL

Day 321: Homework Battles

Ugh!! It's always such a struggle to get Chelsea to do her homework. I get so frustrated when I work with her. She gets this angry, grumpy, non working attitude, and it drives me mad!! LOL Frank & Keagan are better at working with her. Keagan does quite a fine job, if I must say. Plus, he's better at math. hahaha I'm serious! We really need a schedule. I think that will help a lot, and I have been saying that & saying that. A lot of big changes are coming up soon. I want to start the changes now, but it's just so close to the holidays that I have decided to wait. It will be hard, but it's for the best. :)

Day 320: Snow Day!

Kids had there first snow day today. We got like 14-16 inches over night!!! And there is MORE coming!!! AHH!! Frank had his car cleaned off this morning....he thought he was going to drive it to work. LMAO!! I told him to take my truck, and he is glad he did. LOL His car was covered by the time I got back up again, and we had a lot more snow. When Frank got home we went out to snowplow, and shovel, and the kids played. Kwin's fingers got cold so he went in. He went back out later with Frank to finish up, and to get the car unstuck....he moved it to snowplow, and got stuck. Kwin comes in, and tells me "I don't like Winter!" Hahaha He looks at his fingers and says "This happens every time when I go outside, I don't like Winter." I don't like winter either, buddy. LOL

Winter sucks! And Winter isn't even here yet!!

Day 319: Kwin in A Box

What kid doesn't like boxes?! I need to find some for Kwintyn's birthday party, I want to make cars, and a gas tank....maybe. LOL Not sure how they will turn out, but I seen some on Pinterest. He wanted to color on the smaller box, and so I told him I would put his name on it. After that, he wanted me to put a giraffe on it. I told him I can't draw a giraffe, and he kept pleading with me...so I did. And he had a fit!!!! WTH?!?!? LOL I told ya I can't dram, and yes, son, it's hideous. It doesn't even look like a giraffe. I'm sorry. He told me it's garbage now, and that he didn't want the giraffe on there. Say whaaaaat?!?! You almost had a fit about me NOT drawing a giraffe on it, and so I did, and now you are not happy again?! Kid...you are SO hard please. UGH!!! He's always been so......difficult. But Oh, my!!! Can he make me LAUGH!!! He is SO very good at that, as he makes me laugh everyday.

Why is it that when a child talks in other voices, and characters it's cute & called imagination. But when I talk in other voices, and characters it's not cute, and I'm called crazy?! I'm just having some imagination. LOL Ok, I've been a hermit way too long. :D

Day 318: Children's Christmas Program

I had for got to mention earlier that Chelsea, & Kwintyn are going to be in a Christmas program at church. Chelsea is going to be the letter "M", and Kwintyn is going to be the letter "T". All kids get a letter, and at the end the words all together spell "Christmas". I can't wait to see it, especially Kwintyn! He hasn't done much of anything social, but he's getting better. He now goes to the children's church with Chelsea. Before Kameron had to go along. He even goes up to the front of the church when it's time for the kids to go up & listen to a short teaching before heading off to children's church. It's nice to see him be more social, and I really don't have too many worries with him & selective mutism, I think he is just mimicking his Sister, and he is shy, but I don't see the early signs of SM in Kwin. I now know what signs to look for, and I just see him being a copy cat for the time being. We also picked up an angel from the tree so we are excited to go shopping for a girl. :)

Day 317: Mommy Needs A Drink!

Welp, it's been one of those days. The day that you need a drink. Kwintyn was just terrible today. He threw a massive fit about PBS kids, and wanting to watch George. Well it was after noon, so you know that means PBS kids is over. That did NOT go well for Kwin. I got so sick of his fit that I got the vacuum out, and started vacuuming just to not hear him scream anymore. No amount of talking or anything was helping, and I was just getting very frustrated. He then told everyone to "pick up" and shortly after that, he went to his room. Guess what?! It made him stop crying. LOLLOLOL!!! He doesn't really care for the vacuum that much. It's to loud, he says. Well kid....you're to loud!! Hahaha!

Day 316: Brrrr.......

It's cold!! 7:30 at night going to pick up Kyle from work, 20 degrees!!! Brrrrr!!!! And to think it's just gonna get even colder....UGH!! I hate living here. 45th parallel, 1/2 way to the North Pole. Planning for retirement now.....somewhere warm. :D

Day 315: Do You Wanna Build A Snowman?!

Frank went out to snowplow, and Kwin & Chelsea followed. We got quite a bit of snow the past few days. I think it's here to stay, sadly. I wasn't done getting my yard work done yet, either! It was always so rainy, and then, BAM...snow! Kids cheeks were awfully rosy when they came in. Kwin wants to build a snowman!!

Day 314: No Place Like Home

Messes, cartoons on the t.v. all the time, kids yelling, or crying, or wanting something. Laundry all the time. House always a mess. Someone is always hungry, or thirsty. Dogs get crazy, kids get crazy, I get crazy, but there is no place I'd rather be. At least I have good coffee. :)

Day 313: Stop!! I'm a Police Officer!

Kwintyn says today that when he gets big, he wants to be a Police Man. he has been chasing Chelsea around trying to catch her, or find her, so he can give her a ticket. He says he doesn't need a gun. LOL He had to put on his "Police Shirt" and then he added his own badges to it, which were stickers of boats Hahaha I gotta give the kid a lot of credit, he has SUCH an imagination! I LOVE it!! He's been driving his car all over the place and making siren sounds. His car he got for his first birthday, and it's crazy to think that this car was a tad big for him at one point. He is so big on it now, and just goes a flying on that car. Chelsea was hiding in the closet while Kwintyn looked for her, she snuck up on him a few times which were funny.

Day 312: It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like...That Time Of The Year That I Hate.

Bah Humbug!! It's been snowing pretty good the past few days.....BOO!!! I am never ready for Winter. I hate the cold, so why do I still live in the snow belt? I ask myself that question all the time. I would love to move! So would Frank, but the kids don't want to move. So we are stuck here for a bit longer, and who knows that could change too. But we want warm, warm all the time! Until then....grumble snow, grumble, grumble snow....:P It's crazy that the snow is here, it just doesn't seem like it should be. I know it's November & it can come at anytime, but the past few months flew by, and some months went by like a blur. But here we, in November. Soon we will be celebrating Kwintyn's 4th birthday!! I am going to cry! I just can not believe that he will be 4 years old, my baby is not a baby anymore. When did this all happen?! Haha Time can slow down anytime now. I can't take all this growing up!!

Day 311: Fuzzy Socks

It's that time of the year again....time for warmer clothing. For me that is fleece pants & fuzzy socks. Ok, so I wear a shirt, too. :P Kwintyn saw me wearing my fuzzy socks, and he rally liked them. He was all petting them, and rubbing his face on them. LOL I asked him if he wanted a pair of fuzzy socks, and he said YES!! I remembered that the dollar store sold them, and in his size....and well they were a dollar, so if he didn't like them I wasn't wasting money. Yes, I am cheap. You gotta be with 5 kids, quality counts, but were talking about socks. He is not a sock fan, as he is always bare foot. He wore his fuzzy socks for just a little bit, although they were a little big, but he hasn't put them back on since. Maybe they will be good socks to wear when we go outside? I know I like wearing mine when I am out & about, keeps my toes warm. I need some boots too, luckily the kids have some that still fit from last year, and the older boys don't ever go outside to the point of needing boots, although Kyle likes boots.

Day 310: Happy Heart

Needed a photo for the day. I forgot to take my camera with me when I went in to town earlier. I had to take Kyle to work, stop at the store, grab Frank, and I, a coffee, deliver his coffee at the car wash since that is where he was working for the day. Kwin got to watch a truck go through the car wash, he thought that was pretty cool. I thought about taking a picture of the Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers, but I forgot to do that. So I looked around the house to see if anything caught my eye, and Chelsea's heart ring caught my eye. It blinks. LOL I feel myself getting lazy with this project. I do take a photo everyday, I just might not blog that day. I hate that I got lazy, but I know my time is needed elsewhere right now, so that is where my time has been. I still plan on doing another 365 project this next year, as it has became some I love to do, but I think I will make it more for me. It sounds selfish, but I need something for just myself, and I had so much fun doing my random 365....so who knows what I will come up with for this next year? But I always put my heart out there, and I feel I have a big heart, sometimes to big of a heart, as it gets hurt so easily. I am strong, but sensitive, and so is my heart. Do what makes your heart & soul happy is what I have learned. People will hurt you at some point in time, even those who you think may not, they will. Always do what makes you happy, as it is important for thee soul.

Day 309: Rainbow & Snowflakes

Kwintyn just loves it when the sun shines through his snowflake because it makes a rainbow!! He got this snowflake for Christmas a few years ago, and I hung it in his window since he is a December baby. Sometimes you can get a lot of rainbows, like today. He got so excited, and I had to come see. They were all over today. :)

Day 308: Conferences

It's that time of the year again, time for conferences. I went to Chelsea's, I feel bad for not making it to Kam's. But Chelsea still has not spoken to her teacher yet, but I already knew that. She does have flash cards to use in class, so she doesn't have to talk she just holds them up. She is just a little behind in a few things, but I already knew that, too. She is not as far behind as I thought she was, so that is good. We are going to try to set up a 504 plan I think it's called, mainly for her selective mutism. She reads to other teachers, but not her own. LOL She can be so difficult, and I think sometimes she takes  advantage of the SM, but then I feel bad for thinking that. So who knows with her?! She is a sweet girl, and pays attention in class, and goes her work well, and interacts with her school mates, so she is doing well, but can improve in quite a few areas.

Day 307: Thankful

November seems to be the time that everyone is so thankful for what they have. I get it, give thanks. I try to be thankful for everyday things, and not just in the month of November, but again, give thanks. I have a lot to be thankful for today. I really do. Things were not so easy 2-3 months ago, we were having some personal problems, and then the health of my Mother. I have always had a lot to be thankful for, but those troubles that we fore sought made me a much stronger person, and I don't let my temper get in the way so easily anymore, I take better care of myself, and I have noticed a change in the kids as well, although they still need a lot of work in the helping out, and appreciation department. I have always counted my blessings, and I will continue to do so everyday. Life is tough, it's the hardest thing that you will ever do, but always have a warm heart. You never know who really is struggling in life, and everyone needs a blessing every now and then, so who knows? Maybe, you could be someones blessing? Always have room to love moore... ;)

Day 306: ReArrange

Today we re-arranged the living room, looks very nice. Now to get the kids to keep it looking that way. I scrubbed the bathroom down really good too. Frank surprised me by coming home early. I was talking to him on the phone, and comes walking in, and I hear Kwin say, "I'm watching my show!" I peek out of the bathroom like WTH is he talking to?!?!? There stands Frank. Scared the crap out of me. I even commented that Sarge was barking at nonsense again, and he agreed. LOL

Day 305: Bottle Rockets

Frank came across some bottle rockets, so he went shooting them off last night. Only a few made a bang. LOL But Kwintyn thought it was pretty cool. I'm sure the neighbors didn't like it, but like I said, only a few went bang...they were pretty much all duds. Hahaha

Day 304: Smelly Hair?!

Chelsea's head stinks no matter how many times she takes a bath. I don't know how to describe the smell.....Musty, oily?! It stinks! I went googling & found out there is a think called stinky hair syndrome, ok, so it's like seborrhea dermatitis. LOL But I read to try Dial soap, and something with sulfur in it. Well I had the dial, so I tried that. I scrubbed her hair & then put it up in to 3 buns.....Gives you pretty hair the next day. :) Well her head still smelled like Dial, and I could only smell a hint of oiliness. So on the hunt for some new shampoo/soaps.

Day 303: That's My Boat.....

Said in my best Forrest Gump voice. :D Kwintyn & Chelsea have been playing with Legos lately, more so Kwin. He likes to make Gas Stations. Haha But they made a boat, and he wanted me to take a picture of his boat......I wonder if he named it, Jenny? :P

Day 302: Halloween

Halloween went great! Kids got a bucket full of candy, and we stayed kinda warm this year. It snowed, nothing out of the ordinary, but it sucked. Frank & I took turns driving the truck. We had the hatch open so everyone hopped in & out...we are not sure why we didn't do this before. It made things go so faster & you stayed warm. Chelsea was Maleficent, Kwintyn was Bob, the gas guy....his very own idea, and Kameron went wearing his gas mask again. He got asked about Ebola. LOL Kwin got confused as a little arsonist. Hahaha He even got a comment on his vintage gas can he carried. Said it was probably worth some money.....I'm sure it is. :)

Day 301: Play Doh Pumpkins

I made play doh pumpkins for Chelsea's class as her "treat" for Halloween, I told her to make sure she tells them that it is not candy, because that would be a "trick". She told me when she got home that everyone liked it & they were able to play with it in class since they had some extra time. :)
