Day 73: Birthday Party

Today we had the boys' get together. I don't know why I say party, because it was just a simple gathering with cake, ice cream, and hourderves, and punch. No decorations, no balloons, no goody bags, those days are over for the boys. They really could care less about a party. All they want is food, friends, and to have a fun time, sounds like a typical teen boy. Not too many people came, but it was kinda nice. I still some how manged to be a little bitchy. :/ I guess I don't play host well, because I get stressed, then that B comes out a little. But those who love me, know that I am a B, so they'll get over it. Hahaha! Each boy had a friend show up! Sometimes we can end up with one of the boys' friends not coming, and they get a little bummed. I've been having a good ol' time embarrassing the boys in front of their friends, especially Keagan & Kyle. Said if they got bored I have home videos of the kids they can watch. One has Keagan naked & he's standing on a table. Then Frank chimes in, and says they can watch their birth video. LOL! I said I don't have Keagan, & Kyle's but I have Kam's. I do however have a picture of Keagan's head coming out. Keagan then starts asking questions, where is it? In my under wear drawer, so don't ever go snooping through there. He asks "Why is it in there?" I said Well do you want me to put it in a picture frame, and have it out on display? LOL You can see how much fun I was having. I ended up embarrassing him, cause I he started to throw stuff at me. hahaha

We had a nice time, and I hope the boys enjoyed everything. I messed up the dinner, because I forgot to buy a chili packet for my Coney sauce! Keagan was the only one who was upset. lol Kyle wanted a pie instead of cake, so that is what he got. And Keagan & Kam shared a cake, that I just picked up from Walmart. It was in the Monster theme, the beverage. I feel guilty in a way because I didn't go all out for their birthday like I usually do, but they are getting older, and it's just hard for this Mom to take that in. Forgot to get cards too, so Frank bought some this morning. I made a fuss over the cards. He did a good job picking them out as they were nice sentimental cards, and he actually read each one! BUT it said "We're so proud of the man you have become." The word MAN just didn't sit right with me. They are not MEN yet. No, No, No, NO!! They are young men. Sooooo....the cards are being saved for another birthday, and I had to find some new cards. Frank calls his Mom up as she use to work at a Hallmark, and had tons of cards. He said to bring some funny cards. Well what does she bring?! Sentimental cards! And one has the word MAN in it!! Ahhhhhh!!! They are not MEN! Hahaha! The day will come when they are men, and I, in the meantime will be cherishing these memories & moments I have with my wonderful, smart, loving, young men these boys have grown in to be. :) Happy Day, Boys! I love you!!

Happy Birthday to You, and You, and You!!
